Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 39 Jessheim, a Norwegian postcard featuring the Ullensaker Herredshus building, roads and homes in Jessheim, Ullensaker municipality, Norway, published by the postcard company Mittet & Co. between 1945 and 1947. Cropped copy of an image from the online collections of the National Library of Norway.
  • Ullensaker Herredshus or Herredshuset på Jessheim ("The old town hall in Jessheim") is a wooden building designed by the Norwegian architect Holger Sinding-Larsen and built in 1901. The building housed municipal offices until 1967, a banquet hall, etc. It underwent expansion and modifications in 1923 and 1951.
  • NB! The National Library states that Mittet Foto published the picture during the period of 1945-47. The photo shows the municipal building without exterior paneling and a new entrance, a modification that was approved in the autumn of 1923. It is somewhat unclear when the expansion took place, but the picture was perhaps taken before the 1930s.
  • Cropped copy of an image from the online collections of the National Library of Norway.

  • NB! Nasjonalbiblioteket oppgir at Mittet Foto publiserte bildet i perioden 1945-47.
