Description
Deutsch: Die Weichen sind Teil der doppelten Gleisverbindung in der Mitte des Bahnsteiggleises 1/3, das »E« kennzeichnet elektrisch ferngestellte Weichen in einem ansonsten mechanischen Stellwerksbezirk. Auf Dauer wären die acht Weichen in Bahnsteigmitte von den Stellwerken 1/2 sowie 3 wegen der Entfernung und der möglichen Leitungsführung mechanisch nicht beherrschbar.

Das Signal Q ist eins der Zwischensignale in Bahnsteigmitte, die hier wegen der Gleisverbindungen erforderlich sind und ansonsten Zugdeckungssignalen entsprechen. Weil sie Weichen decken, ist ihre Grundstellung die Haltlage. Das Signal ist ein Fahrstraßenziel, doch bestehen auf dieser Seite keine von hier erreichbaren Ausfahten in Richtung Altenburg oder Schmölln. Deswegen gibt es hier keine Gelb- und Grünlaternen. Das Signal in Gegenrichtung ist voll ausgerüstet.

Die Bahnsteigkante war im Bereich der Gleisverbindungen unterbrochen, sie wurde erst kurz vor dem Aufnahmezeitpunkt durchgehend hergestellt. Damit können Züge auch in Bahnsteigmitte und damit in der Nähe des Ausganges halten.
