Summary
[edit]DescriptionJ27 at York Racecourse Station.jpg |
English: This looks to be one of my schoolboy photos taken while at the disused Racecouse Station sometime prior to 1960.
Accoring to my 1960 Ian Allan British Railways Locomotives - number 65894 was the last of the J27 class 0-6-0 5F locos and from an updated batch introduced in 1921. In the distance there looks to be a Black Five hauling a short goods train past the other station platform - which I think was the Down line. |
