Description
Deutsch: Am letzten Knick vor der Stadtmauer von Aspendos Richtung Süd, zur Verringerung der erforderlichen Höhe wurde der Aquädukt als Druckleitung nach dem Prinzip der kommunizierenden Röhren angelegt. Die erhöhten Eckpfeiler bilden Wassertürme, die auch im Störungsfall den leerlaufenden Abschnitt begrenzen. Der Aquädukt war bis in das 4. Jahrhundert u. Z. in Betrieb, er wurde durch ein Erdbeben zerstört. Er knickt hier in Richtung Südost zum Stadtgebiet ab.
