Description Ye Olde Curiosity Shop (Seattle, Washington) founder J. E. Standley posing with a polar bear rug, a 16-foot kayak, Southwest Native American rugs, mammoth tusks and a few other objects. Originally this appeared on postcard dating 1917 or slightly earlier. Standley can be seen posing with what is probably the same polar bear rug on the postcard at Image:J. E. Standley and polar bear rug 1913 postcard.jpg.
