Description
English: J.D. McIntyre, mining engineer in the Black Hills of South Dakota, in Montana, etc., later one of the organizers of Washington State's People's Party (1894), also prominent in the Prohibition party; Brigadier General of the National Guards of Washington from 1896. Served in the Spanish-American War in the Philippines. The private investment firm McIntyre & Bauman Group descends from his holdings.
