Jefferies—Medium in size; yellow and red; tree afree grower productive. A juicy, sub-acid apple. One party of Illinois says. Jefferies is one of the bestapples I have. A fine bearer. I know of no applethat will bring more money. Of the finest textureand flavor, August. Primate—The tree is very hardy. A strong andstocky grower, and very productive. Fruit mediumto large. Color greenish white, tinged with a crimsonblush on the exposed side. Flesh white, very tenderand refreshing. The beauty of this apple as a fruitfor home consumption is that it ripens gradually, andlasts for a long time. It is equally good as a cookingand dessert apple, and those who are fortunate enoughto possess it consider it their favo-te summer app
