Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Final Focusing Section of the Neutrino Experiment Facility of J-PARC (Japan Proton Accelerator Complex). It creates high-intensity neutrino beam for T2K experiment.

Proton beam is led to the graphite target behind the wall in the left center of this picture. The target will generate various particles including π-mesons, which is led to the decay volume where they decay into muon and muon-neutrino.

Photographed on 2016 Open House day.
