Gemäß History-Infoboard wurde hier ein Soldat namens Herz bestattet, der an den Gefechten von Helmstadt und Uettingen (25./26. Juli 1866) teilnahm, dabei schwer verwundet wurde und an den Verletzungen starb. Der untere, heute stark verwitterte Teil sei auf hebräisch, jiddisch und deutsch beschriftet gewesen. Die schwer lesbare Inschrift auf dem oberen Bogen sollte "32. Infant. Regiment" lauten. Auf der rechten Tafel des https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Denkmal_f%C3%BCr_die_Gefallenen_des_Feldzugs_von_1866 Koblenz sind zwei in Frage kommende Gefallen aufgeführt: Unteroffizier Herzberg und Musketier Herz, beide vom 2. Thüringisches Infanterie Regiment Nr. 32 welches in den Kämpfen um Helmstadt, bei Üttingen-Rossbrunn zum Einsatz kam. |
