Description
Deutsch: Erste Hälfte des 16. Jh. Schildhalter mit dem Wappen der Marktgrafschaft Baden.

Solche Wappner als Brunnenfiguren sind Ausdruck der Herrschaftshoheit eines Fürsten. Vorgängerin dieser Brunnenfigur war eine Statue des Ritters Sankt Georg.

Deshalb wird diese Statue im Volksmund auch "Jörgle" genannt.
