Iznik museum cintemani motif tile

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: One of pictures taken in 2003. On the web one can read cintemani is "Chinese point" and is of Chinese origin. It represented three jewels of Buddhism, Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, but on the notice in the museum three pearls and lightening are given as the motifs elements. The motif is seen in many tiles in mosques all over the country, as well as on other ceramics.
