Государственный Русский музей Рисунок поступил в Русский музей в 1937 году от Н.И.Шагаева (Москва) Авторская датировка этого рисунка удивляет необычной протяженностью. Дело в том, что в поздний период творчества художник нередко вновь обращался к темам своих прославленных картин и пытался создать их обновленный вариант. Так, в 1909 году по заказу С.П.Рябушинского возникла картина "Сыноубийца", варьирующая композицию широко известного полотна "Иван Грозный и сын его Иван 16 ноября 1581 года" (1885, ГТГ). Впоследствии эта знаменитая картина сама претерпела драматические потрясения, сделавшись объектом накала страстей: в 1913 году на нее было совершено покушение психически неуравновешенным человеком. С криком "Довольно крови!" он изрезал полотно ножом. Репину удалось восстановить картину. Рисунок же, исполненный в первоначальный период ее создания, в 1882 году, и дополненный в связи с картиной 1909 года, претерпел изменения под влиянием пережитых в 1913 году событий: в нем состояние главного героя передано с еще большей экспрессией и даже экзальтацией, свойственными почерку позднего Репина. |
