Description The Italian Marina Militare destroyer leader San Giorgio (D562). San Giorgio was originally commissioned as the Capitani Romani-class light cruiser Pompeo Magno during the Second World War. She was extensively rebuilt in 1951-55 and fitted with American weapons and radar. Note the already outdated Mk 12/22 radar on the Mk 37 gun director.
