English: ""Head and shoulders portrait of a boy, facing half to the right, with his head almost frontal. He is aged about ten, with short curly hair, and is wearing a rose-pink coat buttoned to a high collar with a white lace ruff, over white sleeves. This is rather a weak picture and is possibly a copy, approximately in the manner of Alessandro Allori but the technique is not specifically of his workshop. The features recall those of several Medicean children, but no identification has yet been made." |
