"money money," transgender club (2008) in Itaewon, Korea

Summary

[edit]
Description

Itaewon is a bastardized district just east of the former US Eighth Army Headquarters. Having long catered to the US military, it has always had a very foreign feel. Now, with Seoul being home to more and more foreigners of many different nationalities, Itaewon has also attracted a sizable Muslim population, mostly working-class guest workers, due to the presence of Seoul's main mosque.

Itaewon also has a sizable amount of LGBT nightlife.

And sure enough, this building hosts an Indian halal restaurant, Taj Palace, as well as a transgender bar, Money Money. The transgender nightlife centers around Seoul's main Islamic mosque, while gay men's nightlife is elsewhere in Itaewon in an area nicknamed "Homo Hill." (Lesbians are in Sinchon, a few kilometers away.)
