I wonder if you know the concept of the "Kinder Surprise" egg? When the "Childrens Surprise" candy was (finally) introduced on the danish market, it wasn't received enthusiastically by the parents, but the kids liked it, so what could they do? I have only tasted this chocolate(?) once, and it had a vinyl-like flavour to it, but it might have been a bad egg? This all year Easter chocolate egg originated in Italy and became really popular in Germany. I'm not surprised by that fact, but I always thought it was a US-American invention? Well... it isn't and apparently it's banned in the US since it's considered more dangerous to children's health than semi-automatic assault weapons =/ Luckily a Mr. Kevin Grass has found a way to make a similar product available on the US-market, and thereby providing an alternative to the highly criminal chocolate-egg-smuggling from Canada!? "According to Canada's National Post, more than 60,000 Kinder eggs have been seized at the U.S. border annually. Penalties can zoom up to $2,500 per egg." LEGALISE !!! :-D More eggy stuff here: wokandroll.hubpages.com/hub/The-surprising-history-of-Kin... culturalquirks.com/2013/03/30/youre-not-crossing-the-bord... |
