Description
English: This is a picture from well before a recent restoration of the Kazasker İvaz Efendi Mosque, taken very near it. At that time the region was being restored all around. In 2023 I found these grounds covered, some right at the back and north of the mosque. Asking locals what they were, they acted strangely, as if this was a secret spot. However, I concluded it is part of a complex that is called Prison of Anemas (Anemas Zindanları). I would not be surprised if in due course the obviously huge complex would find some use and be opened to the public.
