Summary

[edit]
Description
English: I used a somewhat extreme wide-angle lens. Pictures showing the exterior from several sides. The mosque was built for Hacı Mehmed Ağa in 1585, Chief of the Black Eunuchs under Murat III. It is one of a few buildings that can (because of an inscription on site) be attributed to Davut Ağa, Sinans successor as Chief Architect to the sultan. It has a dome of 11 meters, resting on an octagonal base. It’s surrounded by quarter domes in the corners and a half dome over the mihrab niche.
