Issoudun (Indre).

Musée de l'Hospice Saint-Roch.


Bol tripode de la fin du IIe siècle. Provenance Saint-Florentin (Indre).

Le bol tripode, typiquement romain, apparaît au Ier siècle dans le Sud de la Gaule et au IIe siècle dans le Nord.

Les vases tripodes sont des récipients bas et ouverts munis de trois pieds. Ils sont destinés à la cuisson des aliments, les pieds reposant sur la braise.
