Français : L'isomérie est le fait que deux molécules possèdant la même formule brute peuvent avoir des formule développée différente. L'isomérie de constitution correspond aux isomères qui différent par l'enchaînement des atomes (p. ex. 1-fluoropropane et 2-fluoropropane). La stéréoisomérie désigne les isomères de disposition spatiale. Elle regroupe les stéréoisomères de conformation, qui ne diffèrent que d'une rotation autour d'une liaison simple, et les stéréoisomères de configuration, regroupant les énantiomères et les diastéréoisomères (le schéma n'est donc pas correct). Les énantiomères sont deux molécules qui sont l'image l'une de l'autre par un miroir et ne sont pas superposables (à la manière des mains gauche et droite). Les diastéréoisomères ne sont pas des énantiomères et se présentent en deux configurations : cis- et trans- (ou Z et E). L'isomérisme conformationel résulte de la rotation des groupements autour d'une liaison simple (p. ex. C-C) et donne une grand nombre de conformères dont les plus stables sont appelés des rotamères. |
