| Description |
English: Isolated House Set away from any roads - as many houses on Barra are. Partly due to the old crofting practices where there was small scale, largely subsistence, farming around each dwelling. Modern distribution of vegetables has almost stopped this, but at the same time allowed access to the mainland markets for islands products. |
