Shots taken from our (slow) car ferry on Lake Garda. It was part of our all around Lake Garda tour and this was the leg of catching a boat. It took more than an hour to reach Sirmione. We left Salo and the boat had stops at Portese and Manerba del Garda, before eventually reaching Sirmione. It felt like we were going north, but we were going south (the north end of the lake is narrow, this end in the south is wide). Didn't expect it to take so long that we didn't get to Sirmione until after 2pm (CET). More closer views of the Isola di Garda, Can now see a castle on the island. It is the largest island on Lake Garda. It is like a fortress on the island. It is the Venetian neo-Gothic style villa, designed by the architect Luigi Rovelli at the beginning of the 20th century; an imposing harmonious building, rich in surprising architectonic details. <a href="http://www.isoladelgarda.com/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.isoladelgarda.com/</a> |
