Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Isallobaric pattern giving very strong winds. The isallobaric component goes from Rise to fall pressure centers. This example is taken from a case on September 13th, 2008, when winds increased in southwest Arkansas during the afternoon, and across the rest of the state during the overnight hours and into the morning of the 14th during the remnants of hurricane Ike. Wind speeds of 30 to 40 mph and gusts over 50 mph occurred. Numerous trees and power lines were downed.
