Isabelle Maréchal is a journalist, radio host and television actress based in Montreal. She holds a BA in Communications from the UQAM and an MBA from L’École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal. Isabelle began her career as an actress landing many roles in TV and film. In 1993 she appeared in the television movie, The Beauty of Women, by Robert Menard. For the next ten years, Isabelle had numerous roles in TV series and movies including, 3X Nothing, Karmina 2, Virginia and A Guy, A Girl. Isabelle worked as a journalist for ten years at the CBC. She is widely known to the public as a columnist on the show The End of the World is at 7 o’clock, as well as the show Friends First on Canal Vie. In 2000, Isabelle hosted and co-produced a series of programs entitled, Isabelle Around the World. The show interviewed individuals from Québec who had settled elsewhere to find out why they moved. In 2000, Isabelle was awarded a Gemini Award for Friends First. She is the godmother of Operation Backpack, a program which aims to assist young people in need by providing school supplies.
