Nederlands: Isaac Sorious: Titelprent voor een reeks van dertien prenten van verwoeste dorpen en kastelen in de provincie Utrecht door de Fransen in 1672 verwoest - RP-P-OB-59-667, 1672 - 1676. Ets. Beschrijving in de bron: Titelprent voor de reeks van dertien afbeeldingen van de dorpen en kastelen in de provincie Utrecht door de Fransen in 1672 verwoest. De voorstelling toont een onbeschreven cartouche in de vorm van een gedenksteen bekroond met een urn. Op de steen staan twee brandende olielampjes en liggen menselijke botten. Links en rechts de plunderende Franse troepen. De prenten van de ruïnes zijn als illustratie opgenomen in 'Het Ontroerde Nederlandt' van Th. van Domselaer, Amsterdam 1674-76. De reeks is ook als een losse serie uitgegeven met deze titelprent die niet in het boek is opgenomen.

Description in the source: Title print for the series of thirteen images of the villages and castles in the province of Utrecht destroyed by the French in 1672. The scene shows a blank cartouche in the form of a memorial stone topped with an urn. On the stone are two burning oil lamps and human bones. Left and right the marauding French troops. The prints of the ruins are included as an illustration in 'Het Ontroerde Nederlandt' by Th. van Domselaer, Amsterdam 1674-76. The series has also been published as a separate series with this title print, which is not included in the book.
