Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In the "Plaza de Dalí" (Madrid, Spain) there is a sculpture, which is the unique one designed by Dali for an urban environment. It consists of a dolmen of 13 meters in height and a sculptural work of Isaac Newton on a pedestal with four letters forming the name Gala (see below).

The dolmen, essentially a funerary monument, symbolizes the invitation of Dalí to come on the trip to the cosmos, Gala represents love, and Newton is the gateway to the future. This work was donated by Dali to the city in gratitude for the 'Viva la Gala' exposition organized by the municipality in tribute to Gala after her dead.
