Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Two Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Trains stopped at the Irvine Transportation Center. On this day, the tracks between San Juan Capistrano and Oceanside were closed due to track work. All Metrolink trains terminated and originated from San Juan Capistrano and all Pacific Surfliner trains terminated and originated from Irvine, hence the reason as to why there are two Surfliner trains at Irvine and numerous charter buses to cover the Surfliner gap in between Irvine and San Diego. The Amtrak charter buses did not stop at San Juan Capistrano. Also, at 1:49 P.M. on the same day, the San Luis Obispo bound Pacific Surfliner departed from track two, with another train (pretty sure it was a Pacific Surfliner) parked on a siding on the east side of the mainline immediately south of the Irvine Transportation Center. I do not recall seeing a train parked there when I took these photographs almost 7 hours later.
