Description
English: Maj. Gen. Riho Terras (center), Estonia's chief of defence, climbs into an M1A2 Abrams tank at Sugarloaf Multi-Use Range during his visit to Fort Hood, June 9. During his visit, Terras observed Bradley Fighting Vehicle gunnery qualification tables conducted by 2nd Battalion “Thunderhorse,” 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team “Ironhorse,” 1st Cavalry Division. The Troops also took him for a ride in one of their tanks, allowing him to fire the main gun several times. Terras talked with leaders throughout the division about the First Team’s regionally aligned forces in Europe. Elements of 1st BCT, 1st Cav. Div., are currently taking part in a multi-national training exercise, Combined Resolve II in Europe. More than 4,000 participants from 14 NATO and European partner nations are participating in the exercise. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Paige Behringer, 1BCT PAO, 1st Cav. Div. (released).
