Iron Age terret ring fragment
Description
English: Iron Age terret ring fragment; cast copper alloy segment of terret ring, probably dating from the 1st century BC or 1st century AD. The fragment has a broad, curved shaft of circular cross-section. The shaft has a single collar around it and the section of shaft which emerges from the collar is narrower and flattened. Length 30.93mm, width (at collar) 13.54mm, depth (at collar) 11.26mm, diameter (broader section of shaft) 8.65mm, width (narrower section of shaft) 8.03mm, depth (narrower section of shaft) 4.96mm, weight 11.03g.
