Title
Iron Age brooch
Description
English: An incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy brooch dating from c. 25-70 AD. The brooch consists of the bow and spring. The spring loops twice before crossing across the back of the bow, which is rectangular is cross section and narrows towards the terminal end which is a rounded point. There is no decoration, and the brooch has a dark green patina. Patches of the surface of the brooch are worn and broken. The brooch measures 33.6mm in length, 8.1mm in width, and weighs 1.64g.

A similar brooch can be seen in Mackreth 2011 Vol.2 pl10 no.4831.
