Title
Iron Age Silver unit

English: Iron Age Silver unit

Obverse: Almost blank (possible remains of head?)

Reverse: Cross with crescents and small pellets in each of the segments.

These coins were produced in the Languedoc region of southern France in the second century BC and are, as such, usually attributed to the Volcae Arecomici (and/or Volcae Tectosages). There are very rare finds in this country and only about 3-4 of these coins found in Britain.
