Description
English: A dispersed hoard of two Iron Age gold quarter staters of Tincomarus of the Atrebates tribe, a fragment of Iron Age silver unit and a Roman Republican denarius .

a) Tincomarus Medusa gold quarter stater with TINC in corded tablet with C above and A below on the obverse and facing head of Medusa on the reverse. ABC 1076, BMC 811-824, Van Arsdell 378-1. Diameter 11.00mm. Weight 1.18g.

b) Tincomarus Medusa gold quarter stater with TINC in corded tablet with C above and B below on the obverse and facing head of Medusa on the reverse. ABC 1076, BMC 825-826, Van Arsdell 378-1. Diameter 10.75mm. Weight 1.20g.

c) A worn silver Roman Republican denarius dating to 81 BC (Reece Period 1) with a bust of Pietas facing right on the obverse, and a jug and a litus within a wreath with IMPER below on the reverse. Mint of Rome. RRC 374/2. Diameter 17.85mm. Weight 2.39g

d) Fragment of Iron Age silver unit probably consisting of c.1/3 of the coin. One break is quite fresh. Measures 9.53x9.04mm, weighs 0.75g.
