Икона принадлежала царице-инокине Александре (Ирине Годуновой) в Новодевичьем монастыре среди ее келейных образов, а затем постоянно лежала на аналое перед иконостасом Смоленского собора. Выбор ее в качестве личной иконы объясняется с тем, что с "Владимирской" связаны памятные события избрания на царство царя Бориса. |
