Description
English: Double-story station building was constructed in 1914-1917 with vastly larger space to not only house railway offices, but also Majestic Hotel, an enclose hotel that also boasted a restaurant and a bar. Originally offering 17 bedrooms which directly grant access to the second floor loggia, the hotel upgraded its number of rooms to 21 in 1936, to 86 in 2007 till 2020.

Station's design was conceptualised by en:Arthur Benison Hubback, a British architectural assistant to the Director of Public Works credited for designing various public buildings in en:British Malaya.

Western design exterior has drawing elements of late-Edwardian Baroque architecture and incorporating moderate rustication on the base of the ground floor, opened pointed and arched pediments, extensive use of engaged columns, and a large central dome over the en:porte-cochère, while integrating vernacular elements such as deep, open air en:loggias into the ground floor (183 metres) and upper floor of the building. In spite of its overall aesthetics, elements of Indo-Saracenic architecture are still found in the form of miniature en:chhatris towering over corner support columns on both sides of the structure.

Дизайн сочетает элементы позднеэдвардианского барокко с остроконечными и арочными фронтонами, колоннами и большим центральным куполом. Вдоль здания протянута амфилада длиной 183 метра. На втором этаже вдоль глубокой просторной лоджии распологались 17 номеров отеля Majestic station. В 1936 году количество номеров увеличилось до 21, а в 2007 году - до 86.
Bahasa Melayu: Stesen Keretapi Ipoh ini merupakan salah sebuah stesen dalam jajaran KTM Komuter Sektor Utara dan KTM ETS. Stesen ini juga merupakan stesen terminus bagi Laluan KTM Komuter Ipoh-Butterworth dan Laluan KTM ETS Ipoh-KL Sentral. Stesen itu hanya siap dibina pada tahun 1917. Bangunan stesen dua tingkat baru telah dibina dengan ruang yang jauh lebih besar bukan sahaja menempatkan rumah pejabat kereta api, tetapi juga menempatkan sebuah hotel.
Bahasa Indonesia: Stasiun kereta api Ipoh digunakan sebagai lokasi syuting untuk film id:Anna and the King, yang dibintangi oleh id:Jodie Foster.
