In tents and barracks and all other sleepingquarters the soldier should, of course, make it his business to see that thosehabitations are always well ventilated. Fresh air by day and by night isthe best preventive as well as curative agent against tuberculosis. What should the soldier do so as not to spread tuberculosis? The first symptoms of tuberculosis have been previously described. Withthese he should make himself familiar, and if he coughs and expectorates heshould gather a specimen of his sputum and take it to the doctor for examina-tion.
