lesser curvature is greatly thickened; the cardiac portion is apparently dis-tended. The pylorus is small and its lumen is nearly obliterated. The upperportion of its circumference is involved in the thickening from the lesser 1038 INTERSTATE MEDICAL JOURNAL curvature. Upon section, the gastric mass is composed of dense connectivetissue in which are seen many small pearly white nests. The adjacent lymphnodes are enlarged and upon section resemble closely the structure of themass in the stomach. In the retroperitoneal space, is a mass similar to the one in the mediastinumwhich measures 4x4x5 cm. The liver extends two fingers breadth below thecostal margin and is studded with whitish nodules which vary in size frommere specks to 2.5 cm. in diameter. Some of the nodules are umbillicated.Upon section the nodules are found distributed throughout the liver. Thecenters of many of these nodules are necrotic. The other organs are not noteworthy upon gross examination. Microscopical examination
