me some operators preferred not to drain. But where the pos-sibility of a ureteral necrosis is present in almost any case, it wouldseem safer as a rule not to close the vagina entirely. This subjectis one I made the occasion of a special Arbeit while an assistant inWertheims Hospital in 1901. At that time we could find no relieffor this harassing complication.
