English: This is an example of International’s Newport Series, which was a long line of cabover trucks built by International/Navistar around the world for over 30 years (1981-2015). They were only sold in North America until 1998, but were built in Brazil after that and exported throughout Latin America and as far away as Australia. As a result of this, you can find Newports far and wide. They have become very popular imports in Jamaica and can be seen daily there. Brand new Newports (specifically, International 9800 tractors) can still be purchased in Brazil, Australia, and South Africa. |
