English: Interior of St Nicholas, Haxey Looking through the south arcade to the nave. Note the clerestory above the arcade.
Arcade - a series of arches, particularly between the nave and an isle and generally supported by pillars. Clerestory - the uppermost 'clear storey' standing above the isle roof which contains windows to let in more light. |
