DescriptionInteresting prefab paper model of an aircraft carrier.jpg |
Interesting prefab paper model of an aircraft carrier. The Vancouver Maritime Museum has several galleries of model ships. I was very surprised at how interesting its gallery of model ships made of paper was. Some of the models were the made from scratch work of children, very dedicated children. Others were models built by professional. Still others were surviving examples of models that had been printed on cereal boxes -- the 1930s equivalent of the plastic prizes included in cereal boxes today. |
