| Description |
English: Intake land on the hillsides above the village of Deiniolen These fields were wrested from the moorland wastes in the first half of the 19th century. It has been a constant battle to stop them reverting to their natural condition. The only type of farming the harsh environment permits is the rearing of sheep and hardy cattle. |
