Eaition Peters. 35 Die sogenannten Flageolettöne (sons harmo-niques; entstehen, wenn man die Saiten mit den Fin-gern der linken Hand derartig leicht berührt, daßdieselben in ihrer Länge (an gewissen Schwin-gungsknoten) zwar geteilt, jedoch nicht, wie beigewöhnlichen Tönen, irgendwie fest auf das Griff-brett aufgedrückt werden. Diese Flageolettöne ha-ben einen eigentümlichen Charakter geheimnisvol-ler Zartheit, und die außerordentliche Höhe einigervon ihnen verleiht der Violine nach oben einen un-gemein großen Umfang. Man unterscheidet natür-liche und künstliche Flageolettöne. Die natür-lichen entstehen, wenn man gewisse Punkte derleeren Saiten leicht berührt. Diejenigen,welcheam sichersten und klangvollsten auf jeder Saiteansprechen, findet man in folgender Tabelle ver-zeichnet; die schwarzen (Viertel:) Noten stellenhierbei die wirkliche Tonhöhe der Flageolettöne dar,die weißen (ganzen) Noten dagegen zeigen die Stellean, wo die leere Saite leicht zu berühren ist.
