Summary
[edit]DescriptionInside the Multangular Tower - geograph.org.uk - 676844.jpg |
English: Inside the Multangular Tower. The Roman stonework can be seen clearly. It has a tile band around the middle, and the original Roman walkway can be seen just below the later medieval stone archers' loops. The sarcophagi in the base of the tower are from the graveyard of St Mary's (which was excavated in the late C19th). |
