An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London to wit at the Parish of Saint / Swithin in the Ward of Walbrook in London aforesaid / on the thirteenth Day of March in the eighteenth year / of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by / the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland / King Defender of the Faith before Thomas Beach (no role) / Esqr . Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London / On View of the Body of Robert Sanders there lying dead / upon the Oath of James Rutherford ( no role ) John Elton , John / Denis (no role) the Younger Michael Ellis ( no role) Thomas Messer / John Taylor (no role) upholsterer, John Taylor (no role) Chinaman , John / East (no role) William Inge (no role) Robert Hughes Basil Righton (no role ) / William Whitefield (no role) William Schofield James Spooner / William Slaughter (no role) and Henry Cooke good and lawful / men of the said City chosen as by Law is directed who / being then and there sworn and charged to inquire for our / said Lord the King when how and in what manner the / said Robert Sanders (no role) came to his Death say upon / their Oath that John Light Banger late of the / Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the County of Middx / Gentleman not having the Fear of God before his Eyes / but being moved and Seduced by the Instigation of the / Devil on the Seventh Day of March in the year aforesd. / with Force and Arms at London aforesaid to wit at / the Parish of St. Mary Woolnorth in the Ward of / Langbourn in London aforesaid in and upon the said / Robert Sanders (no role) is the Peace of God and one said Lord / the King then and there being feloniously wilfully / and of his malice afore thought did make an Assault / and that the said John Light Banger with a certain / Cane of the value of one Shilling which he the said
