« La gare Bonaventure et les trains qui s’y trouvent sont submergés. Les inondations des infrastructures ferroviaires sont fréquentes à Montréal puisque dès 1871, des voies ferrées sont installées près du port pour faciliter le transbordement de marchandises. Par ailleurs, construite en 1847, la gare Bonaventure est une petite station ferroviaire en bois qui ne représente pas le prestige de la compagnie du Grand Tronc. La compagnie ferroviaire la remplace d’ailleurs, après l'inondation, par un bâtiment de style victorien fort élégant. » - ici.radio-canada.ca
