English: Joaquim Inojosa was the most prominent embassador of Brazilian modernism in the northeast of the country, especially his home state of Pernambuco. This photo was taken shortly before he met the main writers associated with modernism at the time, like Menotti del Picchia, Oswald de Andrade and Mário de Andrade.
