Jerusalem Quartet Nederlands: De vier leden van het Jerusalem Quartet ademen en denken als één. Hun volmaakte eensgezindheid voegt een nieuwe dimensie aan het kwartetspel toe. De interne balans is onberispelijk, hun collectieve intonatie loepzuiver, het ensemblespel vlekkeloos tot in de kleinste details. Daarbij is het onmogelijk te zeggen wie initiatief neemt. Alles groeit organisch en lijkt gestuurd te worden door een niet nader te noemen innerlijke energie. Wat deze vier musici teweegbrengen kunnen we wel benoemen: chronisch kippenvel en een niet aflatende verwondering! Met grotendeels Russisch bloed dat door hun aderen stroomt wordt het zeker intens genieten van hun vertolking van het Tweede Kwartet van Alexander Borodin (1833-1887). Vooral het derde deel - Notturno - verkreeg een grote populariteit dankzij de Slavische, breed uitgesponnen lyriek à la Tsjaikovski. Français : Les quatre membres du Jerusalem Quartet respirent et pensent comme un seul homme. Leur parfaite cohésion ajoute encore une nouvelle dimension au jeu du quatuor. La balance interne est irréprochable, leur intonation collective des plus pures, leur jeu d'ensemble soigné jusque dans les plus petits détails. Il est impossible de déterminer celui qui prend l'initiative. Tout se développe de façon organique et semble régi par une énergie intérieure indéfinissable. Par contre, on peut décrire ce que ces quatre musiciens arrivent à créer: de la chair de poule chronique et un étonnement sans bornes! Avec le sang russe qui coule en majorité dans leurs veines, ils nous feront certainement intensément savourer leur interprétation du Deuxième Quatuor d'Alexandre Borodin (1833-1887). Surtout le troisième mouvement - Notturno - a acquis une grande popularité grâce à son ample lyrisme à la Tchaïkovsky. English: The four members of the Jerusalem Quartet think and breathe as one. Their perfect synchronisation has added a new dimension to quartet playing. They play with such impeccable internal balance and flawless collective intonation. Their ensemble playing is spot on and so integrated that it is impossible to say who is taking the lead. Everything moves organically and seems steered by an unfathomable inner energy. With Russian blood coursing through their veins, we are sure you will relish the intense interpretation of the Second Quartet by Alexander Borodin (1833-1887).
