Description
English: This patient presented with a case of cervicitis due to what was differentially diagnosed as herpes simplex virus. Initially, this patient was believed to be suffering from a case of cervicitis due to Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which like herpes is a sexually transmitted disease. Note the erosive inflammation with accompanying paracervical purulency.
