This is one of the two industrial locomotives homed at ACC works !! According to officials here , this locomotive has been designed at DLW works !! INFORMATION : - I can tell you that these locomotives were both built in India in the 1980s by Ventra Transmissions. The smaller -B- loco, #2, was probably one of an order for five identical broad gauge units delivered to ACC for various cement plants all over India in 1983. These were diesel hydraulic of approx. 165kW. The heavier three-axled unit, #1, would have been delivered around the same time but has a larger diesel motor. These should have Builder's Numbers in the range 050~070. It would be nice to confirm this, please. Could you also please put copies of these photos on the IRFCA galley at www.irfca.org/gallery/Locos/Diesel/industrial_diesels/ There needs to be a more comprehensive coverage of these interesting and essential examples of India's burgeoning industrial capabilities and source of much freight traffic generated for Indian Railways.
