It has become a very simple matter toprovide a first-class lantern for a classroom.They are now made to connect at an ordi-nary lamp socket. The light in the lan-tern is from an incandescent bulb and thereis no noise or flicker. It is a pleasure touse one. For lists of lantern slides and photo-graphic exhibits make application to theForest Service, Department of Agriculture,Washington, D. C. OUR WORK SHOPf^HE necessity of such a shop as is 1 shown in the accompanying illustra- tion grew out of the meager limitationsafforded the Manual Training and Draw-ing Department in the building of the newhigh school structure, and of the necessarynoise of machinery in this building. Theshop mentioned was built solely for ma-chinery and benchwork, while the formerroom will be used as drawing room andfinishing room. The work of the building was plannedby E. M.
